At midnight last, the room was dark,
And I had just begun to snore,
Strange noises caused the dog to bark;
There was a stranger at my door.
I jumped from bed, turned on the light,
Saw a nude babe not two feet tall.
The sight I swear gave me a fright,
I grabbed the jamb lest I would fall.
The babe in diaper and a sash
Just walked right in and took a seat,
Then bummed a shot of Bushmills Malt,
And tossed it off, that's right, 'twas neat.
I marveled that he spoke so well,
Using some words I didn't know.
He said my bank account would swell,
And like my fortune, fame would grow.
But then he paused, his face grew dark;
The promises would not work out.
He'd made it up just for a lark...
I kicked the little bastard out.
